Transylvania is a beautiful unspoilt region within Romania. I was lucky enough to spend two weeks there recently photographing for The World on Horseback and for a forthcoming horse riding article for the Telegraph travel supplement, with Fiona Bruce. A visit to Transylvania is like travelling back in time. No fences, few cars, clean air, historic buildings in abundance and a diversity of flora and fauna which is the envy of the rest of Europe. We are so fortunate that there are still places like this left on the planet and good people who are trying to preserve its way of culture for future generations to enjoy.
